The Chuo Line.

Random Chuo Line Links.
East Japan Railway Stations: This site has a bunch of well organized information for the Chuo line. The author supplies a sound clip of each station name being announced, distance from Tokyo, date of opening, location, departing melodies, and transfer links. Nice site.

JR Chuo Line: This is an about.com page. Links for other train lines and sight-seeing guides for Japan are lurking off to the left.

JR Fact Sheets: Want to impress your S.O. or boss with JR facts? This is the page for you. I am too lazy to list the TOC. All fact sheets are PDF.

JR East Railway Lines in Greater Tokyo.: In English for all you Kanji knuckle heads. Wait, that sorta includes me.

Guide Maps for Major Stations: Five stations get special treatment Tokyo, Shinjuku, Yokohama, Narita Airport Station, and Airport Terminal 2 Station.

Okay, that is about it. Enjoy.

My friend, as long as we are talking about trains, I would just like to say that the Chuo line, as great as it is, holds no candle to the Keikyu line. Along with the fact that the Keikyu trains simply haul ass like there was no tomorrow, some of them have televisions inside. And not the crappy kind of TVs they have on the Yamanote line, showing the same diet-drink “slim queen” advertisements all the time. I mean, I like girls in bikinis as much as the next guy, but those Yamanote-line slim-queen commercials drive me nuts. So why do I keep watching them? I really don’t know. Perhaps it’s the “fascination with the abomination” that Conrad wrote about.

Trust me, I am not in love with the Chuo line. Where is this Keikyu of which you speak?

Keikyu line runs out to Yokohama and Yokosuka. Catch it at Shinagawa and takes the kids out to Hakkei Jima Sea Paradise. They have a nice aquarium there.

And get off your butt and approve those comments I posted to your earlier entries.

MT told me, “You don’t have permission to approve this comment,” for one of the older comments. The other one was okay.
