Killing in the name of

WHALE.jpg
Yesterday the Mainichi Daily online carried a photo special on Japan’s whale-hunting program. Nearly 1000 minke whales are planned to be killed from January to April for “research purposes”. The meat will go on sale in restaurants across Tokyo.
Greenpeace are doing what they can to slow down the hunting and to bring attention to it: check out their BLOG for more details.
There is also a cluster on Flickr.

In the cluster at Flickr, I notice that many people are holding hand-made signs that have messages written in Korean on them. Any idea why they are in Korean? In mean, instead of in Japanese.
