kungfootv, who owns the little tyke Kee in the photograph above, on ramen:

I honestly cannot believe I went 30 years without ever experiencing ramen. Of course I had cup noodle, but you cannot compare that with authentic Japanese ramen. That’s like comparing compost with ground coffee.

Heh, compost.

Louis Vuitton Fashion Show in Tokyo/Japan !!!

View image

roller%202.jpg

For the first time outside of France, Louis Vuitton did an outside special fashion show in Shinkiba on June 7th, 2006. It was just an amazing fashion show with all Japanese and international celebreties filled in a big building that was created only for this occasion.

How could I be a part of this amazing fashion show !?
I was a roller skater waitress there. For this fashion show, I practiced roller skating on almost every single day for the past two weeks. Although my skating skill was just avarage on the day of audition, it has improved so much by the time of the fashion show.

The pictures I posted are all the girls from the fashion show, and the back of the costume. There are 25 of us.
The theme was the 80s disco, so we all wore Louis Vitton tops with gold leg warmers.
You may not be able to see, but we had heavy golden colored eye make-up and gold body glitter!!!

We only served for one and half hours.
Louis Vuitton wanted the roller girls to be a surprise, so it was so crazy when we entered.
It was directly after the fashion show and there are all Japanese celebreties filling the entire building.
I waitressed a lot in the VIP. I cannot count how many famous Japanese and international models there,
as well as Japanese singers, actors, actresses having so much fun.

It was just an amazing night with full of surprises.
I just started seriously roller skate, but I am already really crazy about it.
I hope to continue skating with learning some dance moves to become
a roller skate dancer !!

MJ + SMAP

Not Michael Jordan.

Michael Jackson popped in on SMAP during practice the other day. It was scary. Michael could only say, “Thank you. I love you. Thank you.” No dancing or singing. HE did find the LED’s on the huge screen entertaining. I think he was baked. Anyway, MJ made an appearance. It looks like he is doing the whirlwind tour along with signing a contract. /me cries for the children.

NHK’s Salaryman NEO

Ota Takashi describes Salaryman NEO as, “Detailed parodies of ’salarymen’ and
’salarywomen’,” and, “…it has something in common to the Monty Python.” The amazing thing is, it is produced by NHK. So, set your recording device of choice. (You Beta users need to join the 21st century. I suggest this.) Salaryman NEO airs on NHK Tuesdays from 11:00 PM. Enjoy.

Japanese people can’t live without mobile phone

In a train, walking on the street, at a cafe, many people is holding mobile phone in their hands, never worry about being snatched them.
What are they doing ?
They are writing/reading emails, taking photos with built-in camera, surfing on the websites, — and sometimes making a call.

I was really surprised tonight, in a packed train, because I was surrounded by people who was all staring at their own mobile phone ! It was a bit scary and funny, then a thought that taking a photo of them popped out.
Ooops, I nearly grabbed at my mobile phone in my bag…yes, I know the mobile phone is very useful, shame I also can not live without it XD

After that, I headed to Red-brick-warehouse in MM21, then this huge football was there !
There was a bar right of that big tent, and some people were drinking beer :)

My friend said, they will place a big screen here for World cup football games, so if you are interested in, come and watch games here!

Me? no interest in football….
