Yeah, I feel so blissful and lucky to be able to experience the sakura season. The pink flowers up close and personal so vivid and gorgeous!

Thanks for the idea - will post my own pics of hanami :)

What it comes to Tonkatsu, there is only one place to go. Tonkatsu Tonki in Meguro. Nothing else even compares. Don't bother with Kimu-katsu in Ebisu. Supposed to be famous, but leaves a lot to be desired.

Another thing that helped me work up the courage to sing karaoke was going to a karaoke box. It's just you and your friends (or just you perhaps) so you don't have to worry about embarrassing yourself in front of a crowd. For me also, singing in Japanese helped a lot. Even if I screw up people will still be impressed that a westerner is singing in Japanese.

A cab wouldn't be a bad idea, at least I wouldn't have to walk all around the train stations and run the risk of falling asleep and missing my stop!

I'm enjoying your posts, keep up the good work :-)

I'm so with you on that. Super fresh raw seafood is just heaven in your mouth.

Yeah, it's hard to wake up so early to get to the auctions. If your hotel is not so far away, maybe a cab would make more sense.
